Research
Our research is designed to gather valuable insights and develop effective programs for Black Fathers.
We conduct community-led research to deepen our understanding of the strengths and needs of Black fathers.
Our findings inform our approaches to transforming social service practices, governmental policies, and public opinion so that Black fathers can positively contribute to the lives of their children and within their families and communities.
We leverage the strength and resilience of Black fathers by designing, developing, and testing innovative programs geared towards their unique experiences.
Our strategies are designed to build on their existing capabilities, not overwrite what is there.

Black Men and Boys Community of Practice
We recognize that the narrative surrounding fatherhood often centers on deficits – economic instability, fractured relationships, and systemic barriers.
But we choose to focus on strengths. We celebrate the commitment of Black fathers to their children, their families, and their communities. Through our asset-based approach, we champion their resilience, their dedication, and their potential to lead.
