Policy and Advocacy
FFHC works to advance practices and policies that support the engagement and involvement of fathers as assets to their children, families, and communities – allowing them to contribute to the strength and stability of the same. FFHC also believes that it is essential to increase the capacity of fathers – to lend their voices and advocacy power to initiatives that strengthen and promote positive outcomes for themselves and their children, families, and communities.
FFHC Policy Agenda
The overall goal of the FFHC is to promote and implement promising practices in the human service delivery field to improve the opportunities and outcomes for children of fathers. FFHC believes by enhancing fathers’ engagement with their families and leveraging their untapped assets, amazing things can happen in their families and children. FFHC identifies the key barriers to improving father engagement and has designed strategies that influence community resources – resulting in an increase in the coordination of service delivery to African American fathers and their families.
